SCHLECHT, Harry C., a Representative-elect from Philadelphia County; born in Pennsylvania, July 15, 1898; sergeant, 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania National Guard (World War I); chair, Draft Board No. 35, Philadelphia (World War II); florist; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1947 term; died prior to taking the oath, January 7, 1947 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
