SAX, Louis, a Representative from Philadelphia; born in New York City, New York County, NY, November 19, 1894; employed, Philadelphia: Bureau of Health office (1916-1918), Bureau of Highways office (1918-1920), Recorder of Deeds office (1920-1926), Philadelphia; detective, District Attorney’s office, Philadelphia County (1926-1956); leader, 2nd and 4th Ward Republican Committees; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election on May 21, 1946 to serve the remaining 1945 term; Sworn-In, July 9, 1946 and reelected to serve 3 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; court clerk, department of accounts, Philadelphia Municipal Court; died, September 6, 1979 in Wallingford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
