SARIG, Wilson G., a Representative from Berks County; born in Lenhartsville, Berks County, Pa., March 7, 1874; graduated, Keystone State (University) Normal School, 1894; teacher (1891-1936); elected, justice of the peace, Muhlenberg Township (1900-1915); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1915, 1917 and 1919 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1920); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1920); reelected to the House to serve the 1923 term and served 6 nonconsecutive terms thereafter (1925-1928 and 1931-1936); elected, Speaker (1935-1936); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1928); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania Auditor General (1932); died while in office, March 14, 1936 in Temple Borough, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laureldale Cemetery, Tuckerton, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
