RICHTER, Charles Henry, a Representative from Adams County; born in Berwick Township, Adams County, Pa., January 18, 1875; attended, Green Springs County School; graduated, Cumberland Valley State Normal School (now Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania), 1893; attended, special courses, Eichelberger Academy; teacher (45 years); principal, Hanover grammar schools; appointed, justice of the peace (30 years); delegate, Democratic State Convention; chairman, Democratic County Convention; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936); died while in office, June 24, 1938 in Berwick Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania.
