RHODES, Chester H., a Representative from Monroe County; born in Gouldsboro, Wayne County, Pa., October 19, 1887; A.B., Lehigh University, 1910; A.M., Lehigh University, 1912; lawyer; elected, solicitor, Monroe County (1918-1920); elected, District Attorney, Monroe County (1919-1922); chairman, Monroe County Democratic Committee (1920-1922); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1923, 1925 and 1927 terms; elected, Minority Leader (1923-1926); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1929 term; reelected to the House for the 1931 and 1933 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House in 1934 General election; died, December 8, 1966 in Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania; interred, Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
