QUINN, James Leland, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, September 8, 1875 in Emlenton, Venango County, Pa.; attended, St. Thomas School; newspaper reporter, Pittsburgh Dispatch, Commercial Gazette and Cleveland Plain Dealer (1891-1896); owner and publisher, Braddock Journal (1896-1940); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1932; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1934); elected, United States Congress (1935-1939); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to Congress (1938); died, November 12, 1960 in Braddock, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
