PETERS, Frederick Charles, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Lenox, Berkshire County, Ma., September 20, 1884; attended, Lenox public schools; attended, Cushing Academy; graduated, Massachusetts Agricultural College; second lieutenant, 320th Field Artillery, 82nd Division, United States Army (1917-1919, World War I); owner, forestry and landscape business; owner and president, St. Mary’s Laundry, Inc.; chair, Lower Merion Township Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1927 term and reelected to serve 4 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1937 term; elected, commissioner, Montgomery County (1935-1955);  collector, United States Customs Service, port of Chester; died, October 20, 1981; interred, Church on the Hill Cemetery, Lenox, Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
