PETA, Thomas, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, February 17, 1912 in Reading, Berks County, Pa.; graduated, Reading High School; tailor; union chair, Amalgamated Clothing Workers; member, 48th Ward Democratic Committee (40 years; chair, 12 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1949, 1951 and 1953 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1955 term; auditor, Pennsylvania Insurance Commission (1956-1964); investigator, Water Department, Philadelphia (1967-1977); died, April 5, 1995 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
