PEACOCK, Vance David, a Representative from Washington County; born, Chartiers, Washington County, Pa. on January 8, 1875; attended, Hickory Academy; merchant; elected, burgess, Borough of Houston (1931-1938); director, First National Bank of Houston; director, Chartiers Building and Loan Association, Canonsburg; director, Canonsburg Thrift Corporation; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1938; appointed, Committee to Study Regulations of Milk Control (1939-1940); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1940); special investigator, Secretary of Highways, Pennsylvania State Highway Department (1943-1947); died, July 21, 1947 in Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
