PATTERSON, Percy A., a Representative from Blair County; born, October 2, 1878 in Berwindale, Clearfield County; Pa.; attended, public schools, Clearfield County and Pittsburgh; graduated, Duff’s Business College, Pittsburgh; clerk, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, Pittsburgh (1896-1901); traveling salesman; distributor, tires and oil; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1932; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1934); state inheritance tax appraiser, Blair County (1935-1937); chair, Blair County Republican Committee (1938-1956); gubernatorial appointee, Worker's Unemployment Compensation referee, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, 6th district (1939-1955); died, April 19, 1959 in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
