PATTERSON, Cliff S., a Representative from Washington County; born, Monongahela, Washington County, Pa. on May 3, 1887; graduated, Monongahela High School; graduated, engineering, Ohio University; member, Company A, 10th Regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard (1907-1910); engaged in the furniture and undertaking business; member, Washington County Democratic Executive Committee; elected, council, Monongahela (1924-1928); president, Associated Charities (1929-1932); president, Pyramid Development Company (1930-1933); vice-president and secretary, Bebout & Yohe Company; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1934 and 1936; appointed, chair, Committee to Investigate the Construction of a Highway on the South Penn Railroad Route (1935-1936); appointed, Commission on Interstate Cooperation (1937-1938); director of public relations, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House (1938); died, March 16, 1967 in Monongahela, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
