OSTROFF, Isidor, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, September 23, 1906 in Camden, Camden County, NJ; graduated, University of Pennsylvania, 1927; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1930; attorney; member, 5th Ward Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election on November 3, 1936 to serve the remaining 1935 term; reelected to the House for the 1937 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1939 term; co-creator, Independence Hall Association; presidential appointee, Consul to Guatemala; died, November 26, 1976.
