NAJAKA, Leonard Anthony, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Glen Lyon, Luzerne County, Pa., August 19, 1913; graduated, Newport Township High School, 1932; A.B., Susquehanna (University) College, 1936; attended, The Pennsylvania State (University) College; staff sergeant, 94th Infantry, United States Army (1942-1945, World War II); school teacher; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election, May 21, 1946; Sworn-In on July 9, 1946 to serve the remaining 1945 term; reelected to 3 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; died, March 31, 2006 in Glen Lyon, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
