MODELL, Herman M., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Reading, Berks County, Pa., March 17, 1905; graduated, West Philadelphia High School; B.S., Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, 1927; LL.B., Harvard Law School, 1930; attorney; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1941 term and reelected to serve 2 more consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Commission to Study the School System (1945-1946); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1947 term; died in March of 1973.
