MELLOTT, George B., a Representative from Fulton County; born in Licking Creek Township, Fulton County, Pa., October 5, 1864; educated in the public schools; farmer; blacksmith; elected, treasurer, Fulton County (1902-1904); proprietor, hardware store (1904-1916); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representative in 1912; reelected to the House in 1914 and 1916; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1918 General election; proprietor, Mellott Hotel (1916-1942); director, Fulton County Bank (31 years); appraiser, Federal Land Bank of Baltimore (21 years); reelected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1936 (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1938); died, June 14, 1942 in McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, McConnellsburg, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
