McVAY, Walter W., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, September 28, 1896 in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pa.; graduated, Waynesburg High School; graduated, Waynesburg (University) College; LL.B., George Washington University Law School, 1922; corporal, Company K, 110th Infantry, 28th Division, United States Army (World War I); attorney; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1939 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1940); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1940); died, February 5, 1981 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
