Pleasant, Schuylkill County, Pa., December 10, 1896; graduated, Foster Township High School; served, United States Army (World War I); clerk; school director (1929-1941); mercantile appraiser, Schuylkill County (1934-1935); docket clerk, Schuylkill County Court (1940-1941); member, County Republican Committee (15 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1941 and 1943 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1945 term; elected, school board, Minersville; elected, treasurer, Schuylkill County; elected, commissioner, Schuylkill County; trustee, Ashland Hospital; died, October 6, 1977 in Abington, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
