McKINNEY, John Hudson, a Representative from Venango County; born in Cranberry Township, Venango County, Pa., April 13, 1887; A.B., Allegheny College, 1909; A. M., LL.B., Dickinson School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law), 1912; sergeant, United States Army (1918-1919, World War I); lawyer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1917 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1919 term; reelected to the House for the 1933 term and served 9 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Decedents’ Estates Laws (1945-1948); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1951-1952); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; died, December 2, 1956 in Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania; interred at Bredinsburg Cemetery, Bredinsburg, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
