McDOWELL, Jack J., a Representative from McKean County; born in Bradford, McKean County, Pa., December 15, 1906; attended, Wharton School of Commerce and Finance, University of Pennsylvania; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School; major, United States Army Air Force; member, Bradford Planning Board; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1941, 1943 and 1945 terms; appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on Decedents’ Estate Laws (1945-1946); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1947 term; elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1956); died, August 21, 1982 in Bradford, McKean County, Pennsylvania.
