McCREARY, Ralph S., a Representative from Erie County; born in Erie County, Pa., June 5, 1864; attended, Northwest State Normal School (now Pennsylvania Western University, Edinboro); attended, Stenographic Business College; schoolteacher; private secretary to the president, Hillside Coal and Iron Company, Scranton; private secretary to the superintendent, Michigan Railroad Company, Detroit; farmer; school director (5 years); owner, cooperative canning factories; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1932 and reelected in 1934; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1936); died, December 31, 1948 in Millcreek Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
