McCORMACK, John Richard, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, September 22, 1887 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, Assumption Parochial School; chauffeur, Union Transfer Company; leader, 14th Ward Republican Committee; Investigator, District Attorney’s Office, Philadelphia County (1932-1944); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1945 term; reelected to serve 3 more consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Uniform Practice and Procedure (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; chief of Weights and Measures, Philadelphia; died, December 19, 1970 in Lima, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
