MAZZA, John, a Representative from Washington County; born, Chartiers Township, Washington County, Pa. on December 23, 1913; educated, Chartiers Township schools; mill worker (15 years); businessman; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1946 and 1950; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1952); elected, commissioner, Washington County (1952-1971); gubernatorial appointee, recorder of deeds, Washington County (1970); died, October 9, 1971 in Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania; interred, Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, McMurray, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
