MASON, J. Gordon, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pa., November 8, 1898; graduated, Wilkes-Barre High School, 1916; graduated, The Pennsylvania State (University) College, 1920; graduated, law department, Western Reserve Univeristy (now Case Western Reserve University), 1924; chief warrant officer, United States Navy (World War I and World War II); attorney; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1931, 1933 and 1935 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1937 term; deputy attorney general, Pennsylvania Attorney General's office (1939); died, March 7, 1967 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hollenback Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
