MARCKS, John James, a Representative from Lehigh County; born, May 4, 1881 in Upper Macungie, Lehigh County, Pa.; graduated, Muhlenberg College, 1905; teacher (15 years); poultry farmer; landscape architect; elected, township auditor; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat for the 1931 and 1933 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1935 term; tipstaff and attendant, Lehigh County Court; died, February 25, 1959; interred, Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ Cemetery, Trexlertown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
