LYONS, Curtis Blair, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, Blacklick Township, Indiana County, Pa. on April 1, 1894; attended, Indiana Normal School (now Indiana University of Pennsylvania); graduated, Government Mechanical School, Polish National Alliance College (Alliance College); private first class, 307th R. & S. Tank Corps, American Expeditionary Forces, United States Army (1918-1919, World War I); vice chairman and coordinator, Civilian Defense, World War II; Reemployment Officer, Selective Service Board No. 1, Westmoreland County; engaged in the automobile business; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1946 and 1950; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1948, 1952, 1954 and 1956); organizing member, Derry Municipal Water Authority; district chair, Republican Party; member, Westmoreland Republican Executive Committee; died, June 10, 1968 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
