LYNCH, Joseph R., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa. in 1892; graduated, Pittsburgh High School; attended, Carnegie Technical School; served, United States Army (World War I); semi-professional baseball player; engaged in the coal and coke business; co-owner, J. A. Lynch and Company, tire sales; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1922; reelected and served 5 more consecutive terms; unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House (1934); died, February 21, 1975 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
