LONGO, Joseph A., a Representative from Northumberland County; born in Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pa., July 6, 1905; attended, Albright College; A.B., Lehigh University, 1927; LL.B., Georgetown University Law School, 1930; lawyer; solicitor to the sherriff, Northampton County (1933-1938); solicitor, Upper Nazareth Township (1934-1936); solicitor, Lower Nazareth Township (1934-1940); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1941 term and reelected to serve 2 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1947 term; elected, controller, Bethlehem (1945-1948); died, March 12, 1948 in Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
