LIVINGSTON, Edwin S., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, November 21, 1897 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; served, Company D, 3rd PA Regiment, United States Army (1916); seaman signalman, United States Navy (1917-1918, World War I); freight conductor, Pennsylvania Railroad (47 years); member, 40th Ward Republican Committee; member, 51st Ward Republican Committee; treasurer, 51st Ward Executive Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1946; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1948, 1950, 1964); unsuccessful campaign, city council, Philadelphia (1951); died, February 16, 1973 in Atlantic City, Atlantic County, New Jersey; interred, Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
