LESKO, Valentine, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, July 28, 1912 in Trauger, Westmoreland County, Pa.; graduated, Hurst High School, 1931; served, United States Army (1943-1945, World War II); coal miner (1931-1941); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1940; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1942); staff representative, District 3 and 50, United Mine Workers of America (1945-1963); assessor, Board of Assessment, Westmoreland County (1963-1970); employed, Redevelopment Authority, Westmoreland County; died, March 26, 1977 in Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Vincent Cemetery, Latrobe, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
