LAUGHNER, Norman Harry, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, October 1, 1906 in Wireton, Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, Aliquippa High School; owner and operator, Norman H. Laughner Trucking Company (1929-1961); president, Crescent Volunteer Fire Department; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1942, 1944 and 1946; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Corporations and Cooperatives (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1948); pwner and operator, Glenwillard Construction and Hauling Company; died, October 8, 1991 in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida.
