LABAR, Edward B., a Representative from Pike County; born in Craig’s Meadows, Monroe County, Pa., October 29, 1869; graduated, Port Jervis High School, NY, 1886; coal, feed and flour business (25 years); elected, Matamoras School Board (14 years); elected, treasurer, Pike County (3 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1923 term and served 2 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1929 term; reelected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1931, 1933 and 1935 terms; died while in office, February 13, 1935 in Matamoras, Pike County, Pennsylvania.
