KOWALSKI, Bruno, a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Mocanaqua, Luzerne County, Pa., February 6, 1901; graduated, Conyngham Township High School; coal miner and mine foreman (1917-1929); insurance salesman; elected, justice of the peace (1925-1929); elected, tax collector, Conyngham Township (1929-1941); member, Republican Club of Mocanaqua; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1938 and in 1942; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1940, 1944); state insurance inspector, Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry; revenue collector, Hazelton State Hospital, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; member, Luzerne County Board of Assesors; died, April 17, 1972 in Mocanaqua, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Mary's Reformed Catholic Church, Mocanaqua, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
