KELSO, James B., a Representative from Lawrence County; born, August 3, 1880 in Lawrence County, Pa.; attended, Slippery Rock State Normal School (now Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania); attended, Ohio Normal School; teacher; farmer and fruit grower; elected, school director, North Beaver Township (2 terms); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1934 and 1936; unsuccessful campaigns for reelection to the House (1938, 1940, 1942); died, September 29, 1952 in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Bethel United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Enon Valley, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania
