KELLEY, George Holmes, a Representative from Beaver County; born, Ned’s Point Lighthouse, Mattapoisett, Plymouth County, Ma.; attended, Rhode Island School of Design; B.S., civil engineering, Brown University; attended, University of Pittsburgh; served, Rhode Island Militia (1903-1906); mathematics teacher, Rhode Island School of Design; civil engineer, American Bridge Company (1910-1946); member, Ambridge Board of Health (1915-1934); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1946; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Unemployment Compensation (1947-1948); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1948).
