KELDER, Ralph E., a Representative from Pike County; born, July 15, 1896 in Wurtsboro, Sullivan County, NY; graduated, Middletown High School, NY; graduated, Middletown School of Commerce, NY; captain, commanding officer, Railroad Traffic Order, Transportation Corps, United States Army (1943, World War II); employed, Erie Railraod (27 years); realtor and insurance salesman; postmaster, United States Post Office, Matamoras, Pa. (12 years); elected, Matamoras School Board; unsuccessful campaign for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1934); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1935 term in a Special Election on March 19, 1935 and served 1 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1936); died in England while serving in the Army, September 30, 1943; Interred, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.
