JONES, George E., a Representative from Blair County; born in McVeytown, Mifflin County, Pa., February 16, 1891; attended, McVeytown and Lewistown public schools; newsboy; musician; restaurateur (1911-1960); Republican committeeman, Blair county; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1938; reelected to the House in 1940 and 1952; unsuccessful campaigns for reelection to the House (1942, 1954); died, February 2, 1963 in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
