George Hamilton, a Representative from York County; born, August 17, 1873 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, Rittenhouse Academy; A.B., Temple University; Ph.D., D.D., University of Pennsylvania; clerk, Presbytery of Donegal (1900-1920); minister, New Harmony Presbyterian Church (1921-1951); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1938; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1940); died, June 10, 1954 in Paradise, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, New Harmony Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Brogue, York County, Pennsylvania.
