HARMUTH, Charles, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, September 28, 1892 in St. Louis, Mo.; attended, Duff’s Business College (Everett Institute); served, 28th Division, United States Army (1917-1919, World War I); served, Pennsylvania National Guard; merchant; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat to serve the 1933, 1935, 1937 and 1941 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1939 and 1943 terms; died, October 20, 1984 in Bridgeville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Agatha's Cemetery, Bridgeville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
