HAINES, Kenneth Gramley, a Representative from Centre County; born in Rebersburg, Centre County, Pa., May 20, 1906; graduated, Millheim High School, 1924; A.B., The Pennsylvania State (University) College, 1928; teacher, State College High School; high school sports coach; professional minor league baseball player, New York-Pennsylvania League (1928-1931; pitcher, Williamsport Grays, 1931); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1939 and 1941 terms; withdrew from candidacy for reelection to the House for the 1943 term; appointed, Chief of Physical Restoration, Bureau of Rehabilitation, State Board of Vocational Education (1946); died, October 10, 1961 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Peter’s Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, Rebersburg, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
