GOODWIN, Bernard H., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, October 27, 1882 in Rochester, Monroe County, NY; attended, accountancy and business management courses, night school; corporal, Pennsylvania National Guard (World War I); elected, auditor, Wilkins Township; elected, commissioner, Wilkins Township; elected, treasurer, Wilkins Township; chair, Wilkins Township Democratic Organization; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1940 and 1942; appointed, Thomas Jefferson Bicentennial Committee (1943-1944); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1944); elected, register of wills and clerk of Orphans’ Court, Allegheny County (1947-1958); died, February 23, 1958 in Sarasota, Sarasota County, Florida; interred, Henderson Cemetery, Acmetonia, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
