GILLETTE, Wilson Darwin, a Representative from Bradford County; born July 1, 1880 in Sheshequin Township, Bradford County, Pa.; graduated, Ulster High School; attended, Susquehanna Collegiate Institute, Towanda, Pa.; farmer; general store clerk; automobile industry (17 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1931 term and served 6 consecutive terms; appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1939-1940); resigned from the House, December 3, 1941; elected, United States Congress (Special Election, November 4, 1941-1951); died while in office of the Congress, August 7, 1951 in Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
