FLEISCHMAN, Alfred J., a Representative from Elk County; born in St. Mary’s, Elk County, Pa., November 6, 1919; graduated, Central High School; first lieutenant, United States Army (1943-1945, World War II); partner, general insurance agency; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1952; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1954); assistant supervisor, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, St. Mary’s; died, October 13, 1982; interred, St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Mary’s, Elk County, Pennsylvania.
