FLANNERY, Thomas S., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pa., September 25, 1894; graduated, St. Rose’s Academy; sergeant, Medical Corps, United States Army (1917-1919, World War I); assistant fire chief, Wilkes-Barre (1919-1932); fire chief, Wilkes-Barre (1932-1937); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936) and served 1 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1939 term; died, November 5, 1981 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Marys Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
