EMHARDT, Edwin Chase, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, June 9, 1879 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, Central High School; graduated, University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1901; lawyer; trust and title officer and real estate officer, Chelten Trust Company (1907-1919); owner and operator, Major Beverage Company; director, Warsaw Building and Loan Association; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1925 term and reelected to serve 4 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1934); supervisor, Bureau of Weights and Measures, Philadelphia; special council, State Banking Association; died, May 8, 1966 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Ivy Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
