DOUGHERTY, Robert Emmett, a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa., February 19, 1908; graduated, Scranton Technical High School; machinists mate, United States Navy (1942-1945, World War II); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936) and served 1 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1938); died, October 26, 1976 in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
