DIX, Irving Sidney, a Representative from Wayne County; born in Shehawken, Wayne County, Pa., August 19, 1880; graduated, Carbondale High School; graduated, Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, Ct.; served, Pennsylvania Reserve Militia (1917-1918, World War I); editor and publisher, The Wayne County Citizen; member, Wayne County Republican Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1939 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; died while in office, November 20, 1948; interred, Shehawken Cemetery I, Preston Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
