DENMAN, David Nelson, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pa. on May 20, 1895; attended, Greensburg High School; B.A., Washington and Jefferson College; attended, University of Pittsburgh Graduate School; graduated, University of Pittsburgh School of Law; private, Air Corps, United States Army (1918, World War I); captain, Air Corps, United States Army (1942-1943, World War II); attorney; teacher, Greensburg and Latrobe public schools (1919-1926); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1938 and 1942; appointed, Joint Committee to Investigate Bureau of Aeronautics (1939-1940); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1940); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1944); died, November 26, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
