CORDIER, Robert J., a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pa., December 25, 1900; graduated, Scranton Technical High School; graduated, Alexander Hamilton Institute; served, Pennsylvania Reserve Militia (1916-1920, World War I); banker, Third National and Scranton National; member, South Side (Scranton) Republican Club; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to serve the 1931 term and reelected to 6 nonconsecutive terms thereafter in 1933, 1935, 1939, 1941, 1943 and 1947; appointed, Committee to Investigate Bureau of Aeronautics (1939-1940); unsuccessful campaigns for reelection to the House (1936, 1944, 1948, 1950); banker, First National Bank; died, April 7, 1993 in Scanton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.
