CHRISTLER, Charles Morrison, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, April 12, 1889 in Murdocksville, Allegheny County, Pa.; B.A., Grove City College, 1909; B.A., Yale University, 1912; LL.B., University of Pittsburgh Law School, 1917; attended, University of Grenoble, France; served, United States Army (World War I); school principal; university professor; attorney; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1938; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1940, 1942); examiner, State Department of Labor and Industry; died, August 10, 1957 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
