BROWN, Thomas Joshua, a Representative from Lancaster County; born in Yorkshire, England, September 23, 1855; attended, University of Pennsylvania; cotton and woolen manufacturer; president, George Brown’s Sons, Inc.; president, The First National Bank of Mount Joy; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1923 term; reelected to the House for the 1925, 1927, 1929, 1931 terms and posthumously to the 1933 term; died while in office, November 2, 1932 in Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Joy Cemetery, Mount Joy, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
